Covid Vaccination & Awareness

IGL’s Sharon Hospital will work toward educating the targeted group of people so they have
a better understanding of the importance of vaccination as well as the utilization of other
preventative measures. Currently, this population has a lack of trust in the government as well
as its institutions. They don’t fully understand the virus or what can be done to prevent it.

This campaign will do the following:

Build up capacity among local volunteers, front line health care workers to accelerate Covid-19 prevention, control and vaccination to needy people.

Provide face mask and sanitizers to the 10,000 in target group.

Provide a two-dose vaccination to 3,000 people in the target area with the help of the Sharon
medical team and to undertake follow–up measures in line with government regulations. 

Provide assistance to and referring patients suffering from post covid-19 complications and black fungus infections.

Sharon Hospital’s implementing strategies will include:

Surveys in the targeted villages to establish eligible people.

Staff recruitment and orientation on Covid-19, vaccination methods,
conducting awareness program and objectives of the project.

Multiple kinds of communication tools to be developed for use, on the awareness of proper hand washing, using sanitizers, wearing masks and maintaining social distance 

Procurement and distribution of face masks and sanitizers.

Organize network with government health officials to obtain permissions. 

Preparing vaccination camp schedule which will contain the name of the villages, date of vaccination, list of proposed beneficiaries, list of doctors and paramedical staff involved in the program.

Procurement of Vaccines and storing in appropriate cold storage.

Project management will include: monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
